American retro style, distressed wood grain, natural wood texture… Wood wax oil systems, with their translucent textures, environmentally friendly low odor, and warm feel, have become the preferred coating method for high-end solid wood and vintage furniture.
Today, we bring you a complete wood wax oil solution for professional application, ready for immediate use. It revolves around two core modules: CCA wood wax oil type Gliss and the Borchers accelerated drying system, forming a complete system.

Coloring base:CCA special glaze colorant
CCA Exatint-CNL series glaze is an oil-based coloring material developed specifically for wood wax oil systems. It contains resin and plant oil and can be used directly for American distressing, rubbing, shading, and layering.

Key advantages:
1. Excellent compatibility; does not clump, become coarse, or show signs of wear.
2. High transparency and color rendering; clear and three-dimensional wood grain with a smooth distressed finish.
3. No pigment filler, preserving the wood's pores; clear wood grain and smooth edges after application.

Before and after application
Classic shades such as Van Dyck Brown, Amba Brown, Transparent Iron Oxide Red, Bone Black, and Titanium White perfectly match various needs including American retro base colors, distressed shadow colors, and warm-toned color correction. After application, local color correction and then drying with a clean cloth create a natural color base, laying the foundation for subsequent processes.
CCA Water-Based Transparent WHT Series: Water-based high-transparency color pastes for color correction and wiping.

Accelerated Drying: Borchers' Three Drying Solutions
Wood wax oil dries relatively slowly, and in low-temperature, high-humidity environments, it is more prone to problems such as slow surface drying, stickiness, dust adhesion, and insufficient drying. When combined with Borchers' three drying-accelerating solutions, it can steadily improve drying speed and film hardness.

1.Borchi® Phoenix + Borchers® Deca Manganese 8:
This is a universal first choice, ensuring even drying without causing yellowing of the paint film, and providing a smoother feel. Suitable for interior furniture and whole-house woodwork.

Borchi® Phoenix: A high-performance accelerator used in conjunction with Borchers® Deca Manganese 8 to improve the drying speed of solvent-based and high-solids alkyd coatings.
Ascinin® Anti Skin 0445: An anti-skinning agent for solvent-based and water-based oxidative drying coatings; MEKO-free, phenol-free, and low-odor.
2.Borchi® Phoenix + Octa-Soligen® Zirconium 24 + Octa-Soligen® Zinc 12 (Phoenix with Zirconium 24 + Zinc 12): Higher drying efficiency, better intercoat adhesion, suitable for thick coats or slow-drying wood wax oils, suitable for multiple coats.
3.Borchi® Phoenix + Octa-Soligen® Zirconium 12HS + Octa-Soligen® Calcium 10 (Phoenix with Zirconium 12 + Calcium 10): It excels in stability and has excellent leveling effect, which can reduce pinholes and wrinkling problems. It is more friendly to light-colored wood wax oil systems. Adding it to wood wax oil can achieve both surface drying and hard drying, shorten the construction period, and reduce dust adhesion and rework. It is more suitable for light-colored and high-transparency systems.

*Generally, fluorine + manganese 8 is used as the main drying agent; zirconium + zinc and zirconium + calcium can also replace manganese 8 as auxiliary additives in combination with fluorine.
**The amount of main drying agent added is based on the resin solids content.
***For solvent-based, use Borchi® OXY-Coat (abbreviated BOC); for water-based, use Borchi® OXY Coat 1101 (abbreviated BOC1101). The amount added is based on the total formulation.

To achieve professional-grade wood wax oil coatings, the key isn't just "colorant + oil," but rather a unified system. CCA wood wax oil-based glaze staining combined with Borchers drying control is the correct overall solution for American vintage and distressed wood grain finishes.
